For over 50 years, Central Regional Dental Testing Service has been a mainstay in national clinical testing as a pathway toward licensure. We develop and administer fair and reliable examinations for candidates wishing to practice dental and dental hygiene. Our examinations are recognized and accepted in over 40 states nationwide (and growing).

Our Mission

To serve and assist licensing boards with their mission to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public by providing measurable criteria of clinical competency. To develop and construct examinations and technology that provides standardized, validated and transparent mechanisms of evaluating clinical skills. To provide representation and a voice for member states to have input to assess procedures and examinations to determine clinical competency.

Simulated patient examination options for both dental and dental hygiene. A written Oral Assessment OSCE will be presented to candidates on-site for both dental and dental hygiene exams.

Independent Testing Sites available for candidates to sit for an exam with the freedom to test when their schedule allows.

It is the responsibility of the applying candidate to confirm acceptance of the CRDTS exam and to determine whether a simulated patient exam is acceptable and/or if any additional components are required in a respective state.
